MORE ABOUT FLOOR GRES BY FLORIM
COMPANY HISTORY
The Floor Gres ceramics company was established in 1962 at Fiorano Modenese by Giovanni Lucchese, who was responsible for introducing the wet extrusion process in Italy for the production of Klinker tiles and, back in 1967, for adopting technology for the production of white-body single-fired tiles using the spray-drying method, which is still among the most widely used ceramic tile production methods in the industry today.
In 1976 Floor Gres created its Swimming Pool Division for the creation of swimming facilities of all types and sizes.
Since 1981 Floor Gres has specialised in the production of porcelain stoneware, a material offering exceptional technical properties and aesthetic features that soon gained ascendancy on the market thanks to its near boundless application possibilities.
1992 saw the merger of Floor Gres and Cerim, resulting in the creation of Florim Ceramiche SpA, which rapidly rose to the position of a world leader in the production of ceramic tiles.
Floor Gres today is acclaimed worldwide thanks to its relentless technological evolution, its perfect synthesis of technical and aesthetic excellence, and its ability to offer a global range of design solutions.
