Arc
Dining tables from Molteni & C, Designed by Norman Foster
Product description
Concept
Design inspired by the lightness of the tent, a characteristic of contemporary architecture, such as the enormous London Millenium Dome which spreads over one hundred square metres, built as its name suggests to celebrate the new millenium.
Arc’s base is made of an innovative material which mixes cement and organic fibres. It is strong and elastic at the same time, waterproof and mass coloured in two shades, white and grey. Light and fluid, Arc has a round top in tempered glass with diameter 130, 140 or 150 cm, and oval 200 x 130 cm, in extra light finish. Technology and contemporary style also feature in other products born of the firm’s partnership with the prestigious London studio: the series Still (Molteni&C) and the kitchen Place (Dada).
