Bolero

Dining tables from Poltrona Frau, Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni

Product description

Round or rectangular, the Bolero table has a sleek and elegant design that enhances the material beauty of its elements. The solid wood of the structure meets a table top with large wood tiles that create horizontal and vertical veins that are different every time. Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, Bolero is both a discreet yet noticeable addition to any room, adding a touch of sophisticated elegance. The supporting structure of the Bolero tables is made from solid wood with triangular cross- section. The wood can be ash, with wenge or moka stain, or Canaletto walnut. The top is available in wood or marble. The wood version comes with veneer in wenge- or moka-stained cut ash wood or Canaletto walnut with its distinctive inlay consisting of a criss-cross grain pattern, always matching the legs. The edges are decorated with a solid wood trim. The 220x110 cm and 250x100 cm versions of the Bolero tables and the round version with 150 cm diameter are also available with the top in Calacatta gold marble or Emperador marble, with bevelled edge and semi-polished or polished polyester finish. The 180 cm diameter round version is also available with a Lazy Susan which, resting on the table top rather than fixed to it, is composed of two round flat surfaces of different diameters.

Concept

Sleek, light lines and wooden inlays on the surface with different patterns each time. Roberto Lazzeroni has designed the “Bolero” table for Poltrona Frau. A minimalist and sleek addition to the living room. An original new interpretation of the poetic lightness of “Ginger” and “Fred”. The surface, attached to the supports using a spacer, almost appears to float in space. Its faintly trapeze-like shape accentuates the visual perception of a thickness reduced to the minimum. The original tapered triangular section gives the supports greater dynamism. The overall effect is one of subtle, airy elegance. In this painstaking economy of elements, the inlay work on the Wengé-stained ash veneered surface is particularly notable. Macro wooden tesserae combine to create a pattern of horizontal and vertical grains that is different each time. The surface is produced from wood fibre which is trimmed, around the edge, in solid ash wood. Legs in Wengé-stained solid ash wood. Mounting plates and spacers in black lacquered steel. The “Bolero” table is a perfect match for the new “Montera” chair, also by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau.
