Tsubomi

The large leg that supports the tabletop is made exclusively with woodworking techniques. We wanted to sculpt an organic shape borne from the natural world, like that of a flower bud of petal.
The tabletop is supported by a leg made with individual boards that are tapered at their ends and connected in a bulging tube-shape, similar to how wine and whiskey barrels are made. Since the round tabletop is supported at its center, the table is easy to use, and users can sit from any position.
