Architonic ID: 20286590
Anno di Lancio: 2022
The 8000 series is a design icon produced by Magnus Olesen since 1981. The furniture is based on a unique and patended production technology without the use of screws and dowels, which makes the furniture incredibly strong and very flexible despite its low weight. The chair has been a part of many Danes’ upbringing in schools and institutional interiors and is known as part of the interior design of ‘Cafe Victor’ when it first opened in Copenhagen.
In 2021, Magnus Olesen brought the 80s to life with a relaunch of the iconic 8000 series chair in new colors- all in FSC lacquered beech. The colors are choices from the designers’ own hands- complimented by muted colors in the trend of the time. From 2022 the stool is also available in the same lacquered versions as the chair. The stool stacks beautifully and endlessly like a sculpture.
