MEHR üBER COALESSE
Philosophy/History
Coalesse is a response to the new imperatives of work and life as the line between them blurs. Our name signifies coming together and we make a direct connection between professional work settings and lifestyle through our award-winning furnishings for office, home and other work/life destinations.
More than a collection of products, Coalesse is a cause. It’s a belief in the solution, more than in the object. It’s a belief that experiences matter and space should be inspiring.
We have dedicated ourselves to researching and leveraging insights about work and lifestyle needs within the constantly changing context of information technology, business process, and social patterns. We collaborate with the world’s best design talent to create inspired solutions that challenge the generic approaches that define most office environments. Our key clients are designers and architects who want professional-grade performance and versatility in furnishings that can be applied in a home workplace as elegantly as any professional office environment.
Our partner brands include Carl Hansen & Søn (Denmark), EMU (Italy), Walter Knoll AG & Co. (Germany), and Viccarbe (Spain); through these relationships, we supply the industry’s most comprehensive offering of designs for live/work lifestyles and environments.
With over 80 industry design awards, including our most recent Neocon Award for SW_1 and our Good Design Awards for Denizen and the Emu Advanced Collection, Coalesse is a leader at the creative edge of work.
Our commitment to sustainability is demonstrated with a flagship LEED Gold Showroom, more than 90 SCS-certified products, and 30+ AP-accredited professionals. Coalesse proudly contributes to communities in High Point, North Carolina; Tijuana, Mexico: San Francisco, California, and Grand Rapids, Michigan employing 378 people within North America. We are able to draw upon the formidable resources of our parent company, Steelcase Inc., the world’s largest office furniture manufacturer.
