HISTORY OF JG GROUP
JG GROUP was created in 1969 as a metal working industry. At this moment in the time, JG Group was producing office furniture and filing-storage systems which were different from existing competitors, based on features and quality.

In the 90´s, due to their commitment the JG GROUP achieved the support of national distribution network specialists in office furniture. This was the right moment to start with the international expansion and the challenge for new targets based on modern design and innovation as a key factor of its products. The success of this way of doing business has taken JG to export more than 60% of their production and collaboration with other companies in the sector, in order to offer global solutions to allow us penetrate new markets.

In 2007 JG GROUP launch Y-LIFE and INSPIRA to the market, focused on the most demanding markets, ranges which feature quick assembly systems and ergonomic lines, including packaging and transport environmentally friendly manner

Thanks to t continuous technology improvements, the position of JG GROUP is now consolidated in the mid and mid to high segment of the market, either for corporate interiors or filing systems.

JG GROUP is not just a simple office furniture manufacturer anymore but a company with a new way of understanding the office environments and modular spaces.

The company has managed to reach 22 million Euros of annual invoicing.

JG GROUP exports to all the continents, being the principal markets the Central Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Portugal, Russia, EUA and countries of Central America.


THE MANAGEMENT OF DESIN AND AWARDS
JG GROUP places people at the center of all its creations, developing new concepts for the market needs.
Once the concept is clear, the internal and external design team makes the project possible and the JG GROUP´s know-how takes these designs to the market in a very easy way for the end user.

The control of materials and technology (wood, steel, paint, plastic and metal), also the complete management which includes production, handling, logistics and service which all offers an extra added value to the end user.

This system of Design Management has been awarded by the European DME Award 2007.

JG GROUP believes in high design based on simplicity in production and to this end the [JG STUDIO]@. was created to coordinate our internal teams and to coordinate the external design teams and research & development department enabling the company to use the most modern materials and processes.

Over these years, [JG STUDIO]@. has designed and developed several ranges that have now became classics, such us SINTRA, AQUA, ADAPTA and PLUS [PV]+[AMT].


FACILITIES AND FULL LOGISTIC SERVICE
JG GROUP is located close to Barcelona, owning 40.000m2, in which office headquarters of the company is based.

JG GROUP offers a Full Logistic Service which, depending on the markets offers:

→ Own lorries
→ Specific area for handling orders, 2000m2.
→ Specific area for handling containers and large loads.
→ Production capacity of 750 cabinets and 500 desks daily.

JG GROUP defends the quality of its products and the commitment in offering a Premium Quality Service to its customers. As a result of that JG GROUP has achieved the Quality Certifications:

FUTURE: SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At present, the JG GROUP is in the process of getting the certificate according to the standards PEFC and FSC, as a company consuming of wood which comes from sustainable forests. We have an ambitious internal challenge to redesign the shape of the company which allows us to be positioned as pioneers in specifying its products in corporate buildings which are certified with the LEED certificate in the national market and international markets.

The design of every new product must take into consideration its life cycle in order to reduce the impact on the environment. This is called eco-design or environmental design. The ecodesign concept is to make more with less, for more people and to last for longer time.

This model is the change of system which proposes the C2C: Cradle to Cradle. A development against the usual system coming from the times of the Industrial Revolution, based on production of goods and services from raw materials and non removable and fossil energies.

The future of the planet demands that the JG GROUP goes beyond recycling and re-use. With this in mind the JG GROUP are designing products using natural systems and materials.

CORPORATE EQUIPMENT PROGRAMS AND STORAGE SYSTEMS
The corporate equipment of JG GROUP consist on a full creative proposal, where all different products make a global project, an environment esthetic-functional according to the needs of interior designers.
