AGO is a Korean lighting brand that searches for the balance between beauty and the function of light to inspire every space.

The process of creating objects means recording today’s history. AGO develops every product with consideration of our past, whilst knowing that what we make today will remain as a footprint in the future.

Together with accomplished designers, AGO crafts distinctive and bold objects with meticulous attention to quality. By acknowledging how every detail is handled we define the quality of every lamp. We fabricate in-house and with local manufacturers and craftspeople to fully control quality. Nothing is overlooked, from the starting line to the colour finish. The goal of AGO lighting is to be a source of inspiration that defines and curates space.

The importance of arranging light within a space should never be overlooked, in fact, we encourage our lighting to be a starting point. With this in mind, versatility is a key factor for AGO. The collection expands from pendants to floor lights, wall fixtures to desk lamps, all to provide a wealth of choice from which architects and designers can select.

AGO values concise, honest and refined aesthetics. We collaborate with talented designers from around the world who share these values. Long-term relationships built with local manufacturers and craftspeople allow these ideas to be transferred into production and even to push the limits of fabrication techniques and technology.

Searching for what is the most balanced and visually appealing is a mission for every AGO product. By fine-tuning each detail, the quality of the light produced matches up to its functionality and aesthetics.


AGO is located in an area of central Seoul named Euljiro. Historically Euljiro has been at the heart of the Korean manufacturing industry. Many small factories and workshops remain and it is here we work, collaborating with the skilled craftspeople, artisans and technicians of the area. Our name, AGO, is derived from Korean for ‘old friends’ ­­— a reference to our region's history and the new friendships we hope to forge.
