Coppin Dockray is a creative studio that designs forms that are bold in idea, elegant in form and unexpected in approach. The work, be it architecture, interiors or furniture, is always imaginative, deeply practical and beautiful. The work demonstrates a commitment to making things well and in response to the particular requirements of each client, their site and their brief. Coppin Dockray has a broad depth of experience working with planning authorities, consultant teams and contractors. Coppin Dockray is registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and both directors are Chartered members of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). They founded Coppin Dockray in 2012.

Approach
The practice offers a personal and consistent service to our clients with most of our commissions coming through recommendations and repeat work. Understanding our client’s aims is fundamental to the success of every project. We spend time developing the brief for each project with our clients through a series of conversations and design sessions. We aim to maintain an open and responsive approach to each brief. This means that the emphasis of design solutions is placed on the experience of the end user rather than the reinforcement of an architectural style. This is underlined by an ethos that, fundamentally, architecture should be an engaging creative medium, accessible, inspiring and relevant to the people that interact with it.

People
Sandra and Bev studied together at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and have worked closely together for 15 years before founding Coppin Dockray Architecture & Design.
