Enea Landscape Architecture is dedicated to the architectural design of landscapes, from the planning through to implementation. Enea GmbH has established itself as a leading name in landscape architecture, both in Switzerland and abroad.

Founded in 1993, the company is recognized for its ability to create complex designs and installations worldwide for private gardens, terraces, restaurants, hotels and holiday resorts, as well as public areas, parks and golf courses. The unmistakable and characteristic designs combine landscape form and architecture by providing the interface of house and garden into one unit.

For Enzo Enea, the garden is an expanded habitat. In keeping with this credo, the garden should not be seen as a soloist, but as part of an overall composition of location, architecture and climate. It is essential to know the architectural concepts, to understand people’s lifestyles and how they intend to use their gardens. In order to achieve the best possible result, Enea “steers” the microclimate through carefully selected plants, positively changing the quality of the space. The focus is always on our desire to be connected to nature and the place where we reside.

Enzo Enea, who was trained as an industrial designer, studied landscape architecture in London and established Enea GmbH in 1993. Today, Enea’s international landscape architecture firm’s headquarters is based in Rapperswil-Jona and has offices in Zurich, Miami, and New York. The firm is widely recognized for their ability to work with complex designs by creating custom gardens and spaces for both the private and public-sector.

Enea has received numerous notable awards worldwide since the company’s inception including but not limited to the Florida Chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects 2013 Award of Honor, the Florida American Institute of Architects 2011 Merit Award of Excellence for new work for the design of the company’s Headquarters, awards at the Giardina Show in Switzerland and a Certificate of Merit at the renowned Chelsea Flower Show in London in 1998.

The successful participation in various international competitions reinforces Enea’s capability to be a creative, versatile and a competent team. The signature of an Enzo Enea design is the presence of a seamless transition of interior and exterior spaces that creatively integrate of the soul of the project into its surrounding context.
