The Enrico Pellizzoni brand was created in 1986 from a tradition in leather production that had spanned almost one hundred years. Since the early 1900s, the Pellizzoni family had made leather their passion, initially entering the footwear sector but immediately repositioning themselves in furnishings.
The company is traditionally based in Mariano Comense (CO) and has been established in its current 4,000 Sq. m. complex since 1988, where essential home and office furnishings are produced: tables, chairs, armchairs, stools, sofas and beds. In 1990 the second generation, in the person of Alessandro Pellizzoni, joined his father, Enrico, in company management.
The strength of the Enrico Pellizzoni brand lies in the synthesis between traditional wisdom and technological innovation. Continuous modernisation of machinery and manual accuracy guarantee each phase of the production process, from leather cutting to stitching, and from upholstering to finishes. The perfection of every product is fully guaranteed. The leather used is guaranteed by the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana al Vegetale (Consortium of Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather) that produces vegetable-tanned leather in the heart of Tuscany: a process that fuses ancient production techniques with the most sophisticated technology to process raw hides into high-quality leather, whilst minimising environmental impact.
Enrico Pellizzoni has added aesthetic research to the quality of production, entrusting planning to important architects and designers including Benedini Associati, Franco Bizzozzero, Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, Giulio Manzoni, e Sung Sook Kim
In 2011 marks a new phase of company development. The art direction of the Bartoli Design studio « will yield new research and creative projects, defining materials and technologies in terms of product innovation. A contemporary and broadened range of new finishes, colours and materials will enhance production, in synergy with the many needs of the market.»
Enrico Pellizzoni employs a staff of 20; and markets its products both in Italy and abroad through a network of agents and distributors that span from Europe to America and from the Middle East to Australia. Pellizzoni USA Inc. has established its headquarters in New York since 2009.
