Ishii Inoue Architects is a team practicing designs in various scales from a piece of furniture to an urban project, founded by Dai Ishii and Makiko Inoue in Tokyo in 2005.

After he received his master's degree of architecture at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1993, Dai Ishii started his career at Fabrica Artis, an architectural firm in Tokyo. In 1998 he started his own firm with his colleagues. After seven years of design activity the firm was reorganized and he established Ishii Inoue Architects in Tokyo in 2005.
Makiko Inoue graduated from the college of architecture of Illinois Institute of Technology in 1997. She worked at Workstation, an architectural firm in Yokohama from 1999 to 2003. In 2003 she started working with Ishii and established Ishii Inoue Architects in Tokyo in 2005.
