Jaccaud Zein Architects was founded in 2012 in London as a partnership between Jean-Paul Jaccaud and Tanya Zein.
Our work is sustained by an interest for interventions in complex built environments with strong specific identities. All our projects draw on their context to provide sensitive and specific responses and a strong emphasis is put on the definition of atmosphere and the sense of place.
We maintain a firm belief in the values of craftsmanship and of know-how. The physical and emotional properties of construction play an important part in all our projects, as do materials by their sensual properties and their patina and wear.
We have an important experience of housing and are constantly seeking modes of inhabitation adapted to contemporary lifestyle that leave space for adaptation and individuality.
Jaccaud Zein Architects is a sister practice of Jaccaud Spicher Architectes Associés (JSAA) in Geneva, Switzerland.
