The headquarters of LAGO SpA are located in the heart of the Italian Northeast, in a 12,000 square metre facility conceived as a home and built in accordance with the principles of organic architecture.
Born as a family business, the company has excelled in carving out a clear identity for itself over time, becoming a leading brand in the world of Italian design. Inspired by Design Thinking, LAGO investigates design in a systematic way, concentrating not only on the individual product but on how furnishings communicate amongst themselves.
More than products, LAGO designs “alphabets” and calls on consumers to use and interpret them. In this way, design is enriched by energies coming from the outside, becoming participatory and personalized. It is a philosophy that extends to all areas of the company: from production, entirely Made in Italy and organized according to the principles of Lean Production, to distribution (an example being “Appartamento – a living showroom”) and back through the creative process, which also feeds itself through the contaminations of foreign designers (Lagostudio) as well as of consumers and partners. Initially limited to solutions for daytime spaces, the collection has gradually expanded and LAGO is now positioned to offer solutions for every area of the home: livingroom – bedroom - kitchen - bathrooms - children’s rooms - office.
Every month, more than 20,000 products leave the LAGOFABBRICA, to be distributed on the Italian and international markets at more than 400 hand-picked stores and numerous single-brand shops in such major cities as Rome, Milan, Lyon, Prague, London, Valencia, Barcellona, Paris and Beirut.
