MEHR üBER LOMAR ARKITEKTER
Lomar Arkitekter AB was founded in 1995 by Pontus Lomar.
Philosophy
We believe that good architecture results when the in-depth analysis of each project’s unique conditions guides the very first sketches and is then applied throughout the design process. The client’s needs and the users’ requirements are central factors in our analysis. We also bring environmental considerations into every project. The development of environmental expertise in our office is ongoing and is supplemented on most projects by external environmental consultants. Larger projects are normally certified by the Swedish environmental rating system “Miljöklassad byggnad”.
We are pleased that our projects cover a wide swath of the profession, including ski area master-planning, large office complexes, museums, conceptual development of commercial chains, private homes, renovation, interior design, and historic country farmhouses. It allows us to work with purely contemporary buildings and interiors - as well as historic preservation and adaptive reuse. Since the inception of the office, we have always had projects underway in foreign countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Finland, and USA. This is made possible by the diversity of our staff: architects and interior designers from 5 different countries, with experience from furniture design to urban planning.
