Profile
The practice was founded by Svein Lund and Einar Hagem in 1990, and today it is managed by five partners; Svein Lund, Einar Hagem, Mette Røsbekk, Per Suul and Kristine Strøm-Gundersen. Over the past two decades, the studio has been driven by a consistent approach following a Nordic design tradition. The office has won numerous prestigious competitions and received a number of awards and citations for design excellence. Lund Hagem architects is based in Oslo, Norway.
Biography
Svein Lund
Born 1952. Dipl.Arch. Oxford Brooks University 1980. BA (Hons.) Oxford Brooks University 1977. Studied building engineering at Oslo ingeniørhøyskole 1972-1974. Founded Lund Architects in 1984, after employment at Niels Torp Architects since 1980. Founded Lund Hagem architects with Einar Hagem in 1990.
Einar Hagem
Born 1960. M.Arch. Norwegian University of science and technology (NTNU) 1986, after studying architecture in conducting under Prof. Sverre Fehn at Oslo School of Architecture in 1985 and landscape architecture at University of Georgia 1980-1981. Founded Lund Hagem Architects with Svein Lund in 1990, after a period of working at Lund architects since 1987.
Mette Røsbekk
Born 1969. M.Arch. Norwegian University of science and technology (NTNU) 1994. Studied architecture at Pratt Institute in New York 1993. Joined Lund Hagem architects in 1995, after employment at Ola Steen architects. Partner at Lund Hagem architects since 2005.
Per Suul
Born 1956. M.Arch. Norwegian University of science and technology (NTNU) 1984. Joined Lund Hagem architects in 1996, after a period of employment at Aviaplan 1992-1996, Telie Torp Aasen architects 1988-1992 Bergersen Gromholt Ottar architects 1984- 1988. Partner at Lund Hagem architects since 2005.
Kristine Strøm-Gundersen
Born 1972. Dipl.Arch. University of North London 1999. B.Arch. University of Glasgow, Glasgow School of Art 1996. Joined Lund Hagem architects in 1999 after employment at various offices in Norway, England and Italy. Partner at Lund Hagem architects since 2013.
