Interdisciplinary British designer Miranda Watkins, creates unique, innovative designs for contemporary spaces that are entirely adaptable across space and scale, while comfortably bridging the boundaries between design and art. The scale, finish and materials used are often adapted to create unique, site-specific commissions for domestic settings to grand-scale public spaces.
The complete collection comprises: dynamic mobiles, elegant light installations, furniture and tabletop products. With a strong emphasis on quality, Miranda’s understanding of materials is key to her working process and contributes to the beauty of her objects, while also being specific to their function. Embracing both traditional techniques and industrial processes, whether hand crafted or precision engineered, all materials are high-grade and flawlessly hand finished in British workshops.
Established in 2003, Miranda Watkins Design is based in central London from where Miranda and her team work with clients all over the world. The studio enjoys a diverse range of creative projects, from site-specific artworks, to mass manufactured products for global brands.
Miranda Watkins Design collaborates with interior designers and architectural practices on an array of international projects for both private and corporate clients in USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and Europe.
Miranda also works as a design consultant and has developed successful collections with manufacturers and retailers on projects for lighting, product and jewellery design. Clients include: Calvin Klein, Swatch, Burberry, Heal’s and Wallpaper*.
