Founded in 1927, Nurus has grown from a small carpenter’s workshop into an international brand. The solar panel system on the facility’s roof has a 2.4-megawatt capacity, supplying 70% of the facility’s energy consumption. Having won numerous prestigious design awards on both national and international platforms, Nurus plays a significant role in advancing Turkish industrial design on the global stage through its philosophy and investments in design. With its holistic design approach, Nurus became the first brand from Turkey to be invited to the German Design Council, which supports the business world in every field of design. Nurus is a proud partner of the German Design Council, BIFMA, IBA, Ecovadis, and FIRA. As a member of Be Original Americas, which supports unique and original design development, Nurus has also participated in international exhibitions such as NeoCon and Orgatec since 2000.

Nurus houses the first certified R&D center in the field of office furniture in Turkey. With more than 40 engineers, the R&D center conducts acoustic research, product testing, quality control, and high-tech material development.
