Sandy Anghie
Profile
Architect Sandy Anghie is based in Perth, Western Australia. With a focus on residential projects, Sandy is committed to creating great homes for her clients. Whether it is a new build, extension or renovation, Sandy believes the foundation of a great home is a collaborative working relationship between the designer and the home owner - listening and working together to create a home that meets the client's needs and aspirations from a design and financial perspective.
Sandy's design ethos is about process. She understands that the process of designing homes is personal and for this reason does not have a set or predetermined style but works with her clients to ensure that the design for their home is the perfect solution for them. Sandy believes that the home owner should enjoy the design experience.
Personal biography:
Sandy Anghie has broad ranging expertise and experience in diverse fields, combining design and creativity with legal and commercial skills. Sandy started her career as a lawyer in 1997 and worked for 8 years in Australia’s leading law and accounting firms. In 2006 Sandy returned to university to study architecture and in the past 10 years has gained experience in a wide range of architecture roles, including the Office of Government Architect and international design practice Hassell.
Alongside current work on residential architecture projects, Sandy is also project manager of the "Historic Heart Project". This project aims to revitalise the east end of the city of Perth, an area of the city that has lost its vitality in past decades, with social issues prevalent. Revitalisation is to be achieved through a combination of changes to the urban environment, and social and cultural initiatives.
