MEHR üBER STUDIOILSE
Ilse Crawford is a creative director and designer who crosses the worlds of brand creation, interior architecture and products. She is a figurehead for design as a means for change and revitalisation; with a human approach that is emotional and intelligent. As principal of Studioilse, she creates identity through interiors; setting design strategy and pinpointing the dna. She is also head of the Department of Man and Well-being at the Design Academy Eindhoven and consultant to an exhibition with Jane Withers, 1% WATER; shaping a new water consciousness.
The studio’s portfolio includes award winning lighting for Wastberg, and the innovative Inn brand, which defines new vernacular using mostly British materials and locally sourced food. Current projects include a cultural salon in Budapest, in collaboration with Tadao Ando, and a guesthouse in Stockholm, one of the first in a new breed of hotels.
Studoilse introduced a seating collective at London Design Festival in 2009. The furniture is made in collaboration with De La Espada. Studioilse's designs are supported by De La Espada's manufacturing experience, each piece expertly handcrafted in their factory in Portugal using solid wood from sustainable sources.
