Biography
Liu Xu
Liu Xu, graduated from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (formerly known as Xi’an College of Metallurgy and Architecture) in 1982 with a degree in architecture. He has obtained multiple titles over the years, including professorate senior architect in 1996, specialist enjoying special allowance of the State Council in 1997, national outstanding scientific and technical worker, national first class registered architect, national registered investment counselor, China APEC architect, one of “China Top 100 Architects”, standing director of Architectural Society of China, chief design officer of Xinjiang Yudian Architecture Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. and chief executive officer of Xinjiang Urban and Rural Planning Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.

Understanding of architecture: Regardless of regions, cultures and wealth，an architect should faithfully provide the people with preferable living space while keep the living environment unchanged. Alleviate the inequality of living condition and feel the nature and architecture with relaxed altitude. He should focus on the common architecture in undeveloped regions, create architecture in specific space and environment and interpret the conduct of architects.

Zhang Hai-Yang
Born in Xinjiang, grown up in Xinjiang, studied and working in Xinjiang, Zhang Haiyang is a native post-1980s construction worker. Having worked under the guidance of Mr. Liu Xu who is the Dean of Xinjiang Yudian Construction Design and Research Institute for ten years since July 2016, Zhang Haiyang has been deeply influenced by him. As a member of contemporary Chinese youth construction workers, like most peers, Zhang Haiyang feels confused about and is obsessed with architectural design deep in his heart. He is exploring and seeking answers to ideal architectural design in practice.

Understanding of architectural design:
Architectural design first refers to products and then the behaviors. Different from others products produced in the assembly line, architectural design is a strategy proposed according to various factors: the owners’ requirements, economic input, geographic environment, history and humanity, and construction technology, etc. These strategies are generally vague and complex, so every product is usually very trivial. However, as they have their own personalities, they are ordinary but not mediocre.

Liu Er-Dong
Growing up under the environment of architects, I have witnessed many architectures pointing the majestic blue sky from the blueprints. From the beginning of junior high school I began to practice my own architectural dreams. During my primary school and junior high school I have practiced geometric sketching and drawings; I have also developed the roof greening project design for my high school with my teammates.

After the years worked as an intern in some major architectural design firms, I found the only major thing that I have learned is form always follows the nature. The word nature can be defined by time, site, budget, climate, religions and even emotions! Whether it is the form to follow the order/function or function to follow the form; This is an axiom that everything was ruled by nature. Nature rule our universe not as the lord of universe, she ruled the universe as the observer of our universe. Just like the maths and syntax we have used in processing or grasshopper, the nature as an observer is indefinable, invisible and invincible guided everything.
