Konzept
Der Techniker und Designer Alberto Meda hat unter dem Namen Meda Gate ein Stuhlsystem für Wartezonen entworfen. Im Mittelpunkt seiner Entwicklung standen die Aspekte hoher Sitzkomfort und einfacher Unterhalt. Gleichzeitig wollte er dem System den gepflegten, minimalistischen Stil verleihen, der mit seiner Leichtigkeit und Eleganz zu seinem Markenzeichen geworden ist. Der hohe technische Anspruch des Systems Meda Gate offenbart sich dem Betrachter nicht auf den ersten Blick. Das System lässt sich leicht montieren und ist zudem extrem langlebig.

Der innovative Systemaufbau mit freitragenden Sitzen garantiert hohen Sitzkomfort der Benutzer auch bei längeren Wartezeiten.
Elegantes Design
as dezente Design des Meda Gate verleiht dem System ein leichtes und elegantes Erscheinungsbild. Das elegante Aussehen des Systems kann durch die Verwendung von qualitativ hochwertigem Rindleder weiter aufgewertet werden.
Einfach im Unterhalt
Die einzelnen Sitze, die mit nur zwei Schrauben an den Querstreben befestigt werden, lassen sich bei Bedarf schnell und einfach austauschen.
Langlebigkeit
Die beiden verwendeten Materialien – die Sitze sind aus Polyurethan-Hartschaum (PUR) gefertigt – und der Aufbau des Meda Gate sind aussergewöhnlich robust und stabil; damit hält das System den harten Anforderungen in öffentlichen Wartezonen problemlos stand.
Vielfältige Einsatzbereiche
Meda Gate eignet sich für alle Arten von öffentlichen Wartezonen, wie z.B. auf Flughäfen und Bahnhöfen, in Krankenhäusern und Einkaufszentren sowie in den Wartezimmern von Arztpraxen und ähnlichen Räumen.

From 1973 technical manager of Kartell, in charge of the development of projects of furniture and plastic laboratory equipments. Awarded with the "Compasso d'oro" for "Lola" lamp and "Metropoli" lamp, by Luceplan; "Createur de l'année 1999" Paris, Salon du Meuble, Bundespreis Produktdesign 2000-01 with Vitra's Meda chair. In 2005 Hon Royal Designer for Industry RSA London. Several exibitions, among others at "Triennale di Milano", "Design Gallery" in Tokyo, at Binnen Amsterdam and in Paris during Salon du Meuble. Since 1994 MoMA NY includes in its permanent collection: "Light light" chair, "Soft light" chair, "Longframe" by Alias and "On-Off" lamp by Luceplan. He works and lives in Milan.
