Parioli House is a renovation project tailored for a family, merging elegance with functionality. Situated in a 1970s building in Rome’s prestigious Parioli district, the design beautifully blends Italian and nordic styles. The 200 m² apartment was transformed to meet the needs of a family with two young children, offering a warm, bright, and minimalist yet elegant atmosphere. The home’s mood can be encapsulated in one phrase: “satisfying calm.” Every design decision, from materials to colors, was made with the goal of creating a space that feels both welcoming and serene. Harmony is at the heart of the design, with only a few carefully chosen elements contributing to the overall tranquility. Natural materials like wood, marble, and satin-finished steel were selected for their ability to infuse the space with energy while maintaining a sense of lightness and brightness.
The interior design prioritizes timeless and noble materials as: solid wood parquet flooring, marble, custom woodwork, lighting, and detailing in the bathrooms and kitchen. Every element, from the finishes to the color tones, was carefully selected to enhance the space’s luminosity and lightness. Satin-finished steel accents add a minimalist touch, complementing the natural materials seamlessly, while lacquered walls with “pelle d’uovo” finish add game of light.
The color palette leans toward light tones—soft whites and grays—preserving the home’s bright, serene atmosphere. Furniture was thoughtfully chosen, beginning with pieces the family already owned, and gradually expanding to complete the composition as the project progressed.
