Comfortable, cozy, simple, bright and inspiring. This is how I want my work space to be. I found an almost ideal place in a small house called 'Lilla Ateljen'. The house was used as an atelier by the painter William Nording (1884-1956) who was the central figure in the artist community, an island in the south of Sweden. I decided to create a furniture series inspired by the house 'Lilla Ateljen'. I designed a set of furniture and carpentered 4 items from the series. The furniture fits well in spaces, both public and at home. (Haruka Furuyama)
