Harmony with nature in a blurred border between interior and exterior
The surrounding context, with a prepotentemnte present nature made of rock and wood, were the inspiration and guidelines of the Studio of Architecture Folder Dri of Brescia for the design and construction of the House in the woods.
Project objective: The choice of a material that could respect the environment, the hill where the new building stood, was the main road traveled by the designers, whose intent was to camouflage as much as possible the structure making it harmonious with the environment. The texture of the bark of the wood and the wood material have led the architects up to ARDES DRY, discovering an ancient material but at the same time modern and different, that had the power to interact with light in respect of the environment and that perfectly represented that element of union between nature and the new building that they were designing.
Type of intervention: Application on Accoya joists substructure, of the Ardes Dry coating, on a plot with a precise laying design, which included both metal inserts in the openings, and the change of laying in the risers of the same. The alternation of the verticality of some parts of the building, with the horizontal laying in the area of the windows and doors, has been suitably designed to create a dimensional balance of the structure itself, which with its 5 meters high, thanks to the game of orientation of the coating, contributes to a more elongated and persuasive optical effect.
