An efficient workplace must reflect the needs and
values of the business it accommodates. If the
objective is to gather in one building a number of
companies that belong to the same Group, the
project must necessarily solve several complex
issues. And if the Group is, on top of it all, a
business with a legacy such as De Agostini, the
elements to exploit and consider are so varied
and many that the project foremost becomes an
experience of understanding those elements, before
reaping the most out of them. A sort of journey
within an entrepreneurial tale.
Designers at Milano Layout, the firm of architects
chosen by the client to create its new headquarters
in Brera, a town on the outskirts of Milan, realized
that the offices which had formerly housed
the various companies, a true "Museum of
contemporary design" had been collected over the
years, one that was well worth preserving.
Thus, a research began for the most modern
furnishing that would agree and enhance the
designer icons owned in-house but, above
all, that would be suitable to functional yet
beautiful workstations. The Frame + system
in its administrative and executive versions
is the perfect answer. A 360° product
with linear aesthetics to satisfy any spatial
requirement. This project focuses much
on the value of "working well", in a fair and
comfortable environment, surrounded by
ergonomic and amenable furnishing.
Setting out with these goals in mind, the
indoor spaces have been configured with a
rational sense, maintaining fluid pathways
and thus guaranteeing practicality and
exchange between employees, without
invading their privacy. The result: floodlit
offices, predominantly white in harmony with
the warm pavement with a timbre of wood.
Offices where it is nice to work in.
