It is the details that make the difference in the masterpieces of Giorgetti design: precious details, often concealed, for a style that nourishes its eclectic matrix with extreme attention to materials and constructive finishes. The Collection that Giorgetti – a brand leader in high-end cabinet-making applied to design – presents for 2015, is made up of a series of exclusive and contemporary solutions. The furniture takes shape in objects which rhyme with functionality, comfort and versatility. A highly refined range, which is timeless, in perfect balance between traditional Italian craftsmanship and the industrialization of the product. It is a versatile collection with products of great aesthetic and technological quality that can live together and supersede themselves in syntheses which are always new.
The 2015 Salone del mobile is the opportunity for the company, founded in 1898 in Meda in Brianza, to reconfirm the fundamental values that have made it famous all over the world. The challenge is to show how a contribution can be made to defining new panoramas in interior design through the instruments of tradition. Aesthetic ideas spring from the great variety of furnishing solutions presented by Giorgetti: versatility and quality are the focal themes on which the company and designers have worked to nourish the eclectic soul of Giorgetti and to offer the luxury of timeless objects. They are modern products which, shunning fashions and formal ordinariness, enhance the refined, exclusive and unmistakable character of the company. They are unique objects which are not equalled elsewhere, but are nevertheless capable of coexisting.
New products in the front line at the 2015 Salone del Mobile include Tilt, an armchair with a swivel mechanisms for a rocking-chair effect, and Norah, a masterpiece of cabinet-making which is the result of the creative work of two young designers, Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli, who have combined their respective individual and complementary experience in m2atelier. Real masterpieces of a time without frontiers, designed by Carlo Colombo, Rossella Pugliatti, Roberto Lazzeroni, Umberto Asnago and Antonello Mosca, are on display in an area of over 800 square metres, in pavilion 5 of the Rho exhibition ground.
Here, concealed behind an enclosure with a special lamellar evolution, the Giorgetti world appears, made up of warm and simple areas in which the new projects emerge, like a melody, with the aesthetic silence of large volumes. The route becomes increasingly animated, like a growing climax, and reaches its peak in the final part, where a “merry-go-round-cargo” comes to life with fifteen armchairs which, with harmonious movements, shape the space: an exclusive area with an atmosphere of dream-like freshness. The structural elements of the exhibition area evoke the characteristics of the brand: wood is offered in all its purity, beauty, lightness and is placed alongside glass, plate glass and fabrics. The architectonic views exalt the functions of the individual pieces which are distributed throughout the exclusive and contemporary areas. Small accents of colour intensify the neutral mood typical of the company, characterized by natural and soft shades.
The same context is recreated at the Giorgetti Atelier in via Serbelloni in Milan: a new-generation conceptual space where from the classic showroom the reproduction of an elegant domestic setting has come to life, furnished with pieces designed by the company. This way Giorgetti puts on show a portion of everyday life, where the elements of design converse together. The Atelier – as well as representing a sensory experience by inviting the public to enter the Giorgetti world through a privileged, intimate and homely stage – represents the throbbing heart where the company spells out the culture of design, designing interiors with the styles of contemporary life.
