×The Matt collection is a true tribute to matter, it comes in three finishes – cement (concrete), nebula and lavagna (blackboard) – and just won the German Design Award 2016 and the Iconic Award 2016.
The first finish uses a cement varnish to great effect; the second flaunts an almost marble-like exterior; the third uses a blackboard finish, which can be written on and then erased. The lavagna (or blackboard) range was designed to evoke childhood games or memories of first days at school; it is a light made for the child of any age that marvels at the world.

×The material used for these lamps is Nebulite that has been developed specifically for In-es.artdesign’s collections and consists of a mix of resin and fibers, that combined creates a durable and vibrant material, especially striking for atmospheric lighting.

×At the Light + Building fair in Frankfurt In-es.artdesign presented the new internal colors (bronze, silver, magenta and blue, which will be added to the existing ones turquoise, orange, red, white and gold) and the new shapes (Jazz, Flower S, H2O, Mezza luna 1, Mezza luna 2) for the Matt collection.
In order to highlight the playful and creative aspect of the blackboard range of the light, In-es.artdesign has collaborated with Frankfurt’s international academy for art and architecture, the Städelschule to host a series of live drawing and writing events with young international artists. The resulting art-design pieces will be sold soon as unique items.
