The Launch Pad now in its third year running, curated by Jennifer Castoldi and her team Trendease International, is an area in MoOD you do not want to miss! Featuring talent from all corners of the globe, these startup businesses and designers have been in the industry for five years or less and MoOD is their platform to shine. Discover what you have never before seen.

The Launch Pad is the place where you can find new talent for your team, fresh approaches to production, new materials, freelancers for special projects or one-off commissions, print innovations, novel concepts ripe for developing into production, and even new suppliers you didn’t know you were looking for—no trip to MoOD & Indigo Brussels is complete without a visit to the Launch Pad.

Innovation Platform

Also in 2017 the MoOD Innovation Sample Bank will be presenting high tech materials as well as materials used in an innovative way. All of which can find their use in upholstery, window and wall covering. The accent is on textiles but other materials are taken into account as well.

MoOD Innovation Platform is not so much about being the most aesthetic, or about putting the most trendy product on display: it’s about what is most innovative in terms of technique, performance, use of new materials, intelligent materials and so on.

The Blue Drop exhibition, installed in Shed 2 Bis, will be an inspiring overview of the “best of the best” of what you can find at MoOD. The Blue Drops and Blue Drop Awards in each category are selected from creations submitted by exhibitors. Blue Drop is the world’s only quality label of its kind for interior fabrics selected by a panel of professionals.

MoOD Tech Boulevard

For MoOD Tech we have a number of state-of-the-art exhibitors working with cutting-edge technologies such as conductive embroidery and yarns (suppliers to help to manufacture heated sofas, LED curtains, or floor covering assisted well-being). MoOD Tech will also house digital printers, software, and service providers.
