Product description
Designed 1905, manufactured by Rheinische Glashütten A.G., crimson and clear glass.
7 1/8in. (18cm.) height
Of strikingly accomplished stereometric construction, this design is amongst the rarest of designs that Behrens conceived for the Rheinische Glashütten. Examples are known to exist in only two collections; Three (non-Bordeaux) glasses are in the collection of the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum in Krefeld (formerly the collection of Ernst Osthaus, Hagen), and the present example. A completely clear example is in the collection of the Wolfsonian Collection, Miami.
