An armchair with a splatted backrest, designed by Eberhard Krauss, around 1930,
for the Thonet Werkbund exhibition contest held in 1930 in Vienna, beechwood stained to simulate walnut, the seat and backrest with original canework cover, stamped Thonet, height 82 cm, depth 51 cm, height of seat 38 cm.
Several houses in the Werkbund estate were furnished with this model. One example is in the Museum für angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
