A Constance bench, designed in 1961 by Johannes Spalt for Franz Wittmann KG, section steel frame, slanting metal feet, foam upholstery, covered with sand coloured artificial fibre fabric, patented mechanism, length 175 cm, height 70 cm, height of seat 38.5 cm, depth 70 cm and 108 cm resp. (as a bed).
Very good original condition. The bench may be transformed into a bed. By moving the seat section forward, the back swings downward and forward at the same time, the seat section thus being lifted to a horizontal position.
