designed by Verner Panton in 1964, manufactured by Studio Panton in 1998, fibreglass reinforced plastic seat shell, foam upholstery, stretch covering, rope supsension, height 50 cm, width 72 cm, length 154 cm. (DR)
This “Flying Chair” was produced as a replica of Panton’s design of 1964 for the exhibition “Verner Panton-Light and Colour” at the Trapholt Museum Kolding/Denmark under the supervision of the Panton Studios. Only photographs exist of the 1964 Cologne Furniture Fair for which Panton conceived a livingscape with a stepped daybed and different prototypes of chairs.
