Product description
Based on ancient Egyptian precedents, the "Chieftain" chair was named after King Frederik IX of Denmark, who tried out the model at the Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition of 1949. Only 78 examples were originally produced by the master craftsman Niels Vodder, and most were distributed amongst Danish embassies, museums and government buildings.
