Helen Hughes Dulany worked in Chicago in the mid-1930s and became known for her metalwork. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, included a 1934 Dulany coffee service in their "American Modern, 1925-1940: Design for a New Age" exhibition in 2000. The lot offered here may have been the prototype for a limited production run.
