Product description
Ponti designed two monumental vases in white and gold porcelain. This covered urn features two dancers amidst golden foliage while the other baluster-shaped model is topped with volutes and swags. A small, covered candy dish designed concurrently featured a lid of the same theme with costumed dancers in similar golden foliage.
The two large vases were featured in the Richard-Ginori display at the 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes. Of the model offered here, only two others are known. One is in the collection of the Doccia museum in Sesto Fiorentino, and the other is in a private collection.
