Vase, model no. 1175

Le Mie Terre consisted of a variety of round vases and lamps depicting the Earth. In most of the models, the landmasses are painted on in a single color, each continent labeled, and the ocean background is represented in blue or green, sometimes with an applied equator and longitudinal readings. The lot offered here is the tour de force of this series, as the continents are raised from the surface and the countries are delineated, labeled and highlighted in different colors.
