Various chair models in wood, 1958 and 1959 marked Walter Papst’s design of a stylized Rocking Sculpture (2050) that won an award at the Triennale in Milan. This was followed by a complete range of children’s furniture in fibre glass-reinforced polyester in 1960 that was also produced for Wilkhahn. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the company, Wilkhahn slightly reworked the Rocking Sculpture in 2007, adapted it to meet current requirements for children’s toys and brought out a special edition limited to only 1,500 worldwide.
Children’s chair with a plastic shell mounted onto a frame in steel tube. This chair was produced in various heights. The shell could be mounted onto various steel tube frames and therefore used as a rocking chair, amongst other applications.
