Executive armchair for Price Tower, Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Painted steel, upholstery
28.5 "w x 26"d x 35"h
The following seven lots were designed for Price Tower, a commissioned building Frank Lloyd Wright designed for Harold C. Price in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Using an architectural vision he had for a skyscraper in the 1920s, the building is centrally supported with radiating, cantilevered plates. With twenty-two stories, The Price Company originally occupied the top two floors; as they grew, nineteen floors were home to the company. The furniture Wright designed for the interior echo the trapezoidal shapes and angular configurations of the exterior structure.
