Our travel across borders might be curtailed for the foreseeable future, but this doesn't stop the flow of ideas, of design creativity around the globe. If there's one design brand that epitomises the duality of place and tradition, on the one hand, and the exchange of differing cultural perspectives on the other, it's surely MINOTTI. Long under the watchful directorial eye of architect Rodolfo Dordoni, the Italian manufacturing grandee has, in more recent times, been exploring collaborations with the likes of Nendo, Marcio Kogan, GamFratesi and Christophe Delcourt. The result is a more polyphonic collection, but with a consistency of haute-couture-like craftsmanship. No passport needed. |
