When doing the circuit during Milan Design Week, there are, to be honest, just a handful of locations that are truly awesome (in the original sense of the word). One is the city's Palazzo Durini, home to Tuscan-born brand Edra, which has become a byword for quality and elegance. Yet the splendour of the 17th-century frescoes belie the forward-facing innovation driving the products of the gilded interiors house. Yes, Edra is known in large part for its Compasso-d'Oro-mentioned, landscape-like sofas, but it is rapidly establishing itself as a producer of furniture that pushes aesthetic boundaries via material experimentation. In our latest issue of the Architonic Brand Newsletter, we invite you to discover how radically new design languages, powered by in-house research, are delivering a series of distinctive outdoor collections.
