The KISS Lovers collection is inspired by the famous painting "The Kiss" (Der Kuss) by Gustav Klimt, realized in 1907-08.
In full accord with the canons of liberty, the work presents an intense use of gold that materializes in the elegant
decorations applied to leaf on the canvas; this technique closely resembles that of the Byzantine mosaics.
At the center of an ethereal and abstract place two lovers hug and abandon themselves to an intense kiss; the girl is
in an ecstatic position with eyes closed, while the man tightens the beloved's head gently.
The two young lovers are both wrapped in long, mosaic-like tunics that hide their bodies.
The theme of love and of human passions has been treated numerous times in the Klimtian production where it occurs
frequently, especially in Love, in the Beethoven Frieze, and in the Embrace of the Fregio Stoclet.
