betoShell® - A step ahead in concrete façade construction
After many years of research studies, and in close collaboration with the Technische Universität Dresden (University of Technology) and RWTH Aachen, Hering has managed to develop a thin-walled, concrete façade panel with a thickness of only 20mm. This is on par with the thick-walled façade panels with regard to its chromaticity and surface qualities.
Flexible and environmentally-friendly GRC cladding for facades
Due to the textile fibre glass reinforcement (GRC) of betoShell® elements and the special concrete formula, extremely high bending tensile strength and impact resilience levels are achieved. Because of these advantageous characteristics, betoShell® is excellently suited for application in energy-efficient façade renovation, as a concrete rain screen façade as well as for GRC cladding of new buildings. In addition to this, betoShell® is also distinguished by a tremendously environmentally-friendly production and, thus, fulfils the requirements of “sustainable building and construction”. In the Product Eco-Balance statement released in 2010, betoShell® achieved excellent results with regard to CO2 emission, resource efficiency / energy efficiency and lies distinctly below the values of materials such as natural stone or ceramic façades. Due to the constant further development of betoShell®, numerous new formats and varieties have been added.
