MORE ABOUT FEG
“Homes were made to be lived in, not to be looked at”. For fifty years, this saying of F. Bacon has been the principle that Feg practised in manufacturing furniture. Founded by Egidio and Ambrogio Elli in 1948 as a craftsmen’s workshop, in the 1960s the firm switched to industrial mass-production of furniture, and also started working logs for the production of blanks in order to obtain a complete in-house productive cycle. In 1990, Feg focused on covering all types of home furnishing, cooperating with famous designers and placing itself in the medium-high market. Some of the most advanced technologies, environmental awareness by using non-toxic substances, the search for quality, functionality and safety, and a keen eye to market trends are the key to the success of Feg, which has trebled its turnover in the last three years and, in 1996 (through its controlled company, la Cucina Italiana srl), acquired the productive and trade branches of Salvarani, Germal and Firon. Salvarani, founded in 1939 and whose trademark has been synonymous with Italian kitchen furniture, is a company of international fame of that revolutionised the market by introducing the laminated plastic sectional kitchen in the 1960s followed by the world-wide patented “Top Firon”. In April 1997, Feg started manufacturing a new range of sofas and armchair. These two firms established Gruppo Feg, a new operating structure whose purpose is to develop a comprehensive furnishing project which meets every requirement. Today, this is the propelling force which opens the way into European and international markets for Gruppo Feg, where it will activate a diversification and sales development schedule (as it has already done in Italy) so that the group companies can respond to all domestic and foreign-market demands while maintaining an unswerving commitment to the corporate philosophy of providing solutions that create intimate and personal living spaces. With more than 50.000 sq meters of production sites located in Brianza area northern of Milan, gruppo FEG represents nowdays, one of the most important existing industrial development pole of quality and design in the contemporary furniture field.
