About Manga Street
MORE ABOUT MANGA STREET
Manga Street’s goal is to create products for public spaces; products that make room for the offbeat and quirky, and the soft and curved lines create an accommodating urban space.
Manga’s products must be an invitation to spend time in the spaces of towns and cities, and make room for play, improvisation, imagination and positive encounters between people.
As an example, the Scopi Seat is shaped not to stand alone and with the slogan “never alone” in mind. The shape has a built-in social expression, because Scopi can be assembled in molecular formations in infinitely many layouts along with other Scopis. As a group of seats that are waiting to be used; We are together and stand together.
The more the better, everyone can join in. This approach makes Manga’s products suitable for public and social urban spaces such as schools, day care centres, children’s playgrounds, etc.
Manga Street is a Danish company owned by industrial designer Julie Storm. Since the beginning (Storm Design from 2003), the company has received much recognition for its design and received many international design awards for its products among others Red Dot Design Award twice and IF Award.
Scoop Light has received Green Good design award. An award that identifies and highlights the world’s most important examples of sustainable design.
