MORE ABOUT NEMO
The Italian Lighting Design Firm
Nemo Lighting, founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina, is one of the world’s leading companies in the field of lighting design, a reference name that has its roots in a history of innovations that has always inspired Italian design. Also strongly linked to the history of international design, Nemo creates the Masters collection, a unique selection of lamps designed by the masters of the twentieth century such as Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini and Kazuhide Takahama. Alongside these projects, Nemo also dedicates itself to the creation of contemporary icons by collaborating with designers including Mario Bellini, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Foster + Partners, Jean Nouvel, Andrea Branzi and Arihiro Miyake.
In 2020, with the acquisition of the well respected Turin-based lighting company Ilti Luce, it comes to life Nemo Studio which is committed to pursuing the search of innovative solutions for architectural lighting design in the museum, retail and outdoor sectors. By engaging in the development of the range in the field of LEDs, it designs and implements products that can be adapted to the new needs of sustainability and energy saving without losing light intensity.
Nemo’s mission is to transform ideas and lighting projects into excellent products that, through their presence, are able to transmit an innovative aesthetic force while maintaining an identity and a communicative power over time. We move forward and continue to make our contribution to lighting design.
