MORE ABOUT NOMON
NOMON (Complementos del Tiempo SL) in the framework of the ICEX Next Program, has been supported by ICEX and co-financed by the European FEDER fund. The purpose of this support is to contribute to the international development of the company and its environment.
The history of Nomon began more than 20 years ago, as the result of the union between the furniture designer José Maria Reina and the jewelry designer Àngels Arrufat. The fusion of their know how gave rise to a new concept of jewelry clock, unique so far. Together they dared to break barriers and surpass old pre-established canons, where the clock simply marked the hours, and the jewelry the status. They believed in an innovative idea that, beyond the functional and decorative aspects, elevated the wall clock to a much more premium category. And they created it following three main pillars: absolute respect for tradition, high quality materials and a completely novel design, common to the best contemporary furniture brands. A concept that rapidly paved its way across renowned architects and interior designers.
Prepared in an artisan method, taking care down to the smallest details, Nomon clocks have become over the years a benchmark in the world of interior design. Stripped to the limits of the archetypal elements of a clock (dial, crystal or numbers), the Barcelona-based brand has created a new watchmaking proposal, elevating its pieces to the category of sculptures. Telling the time is just an excuse to dress up the wall.
Of avant-garde airs, the imposing presence of its clocks stands out in any room, becoming the absolute protagonist. A visual impact resulting from its design, contemporary and versatile, as well as its large dimensions. The dials can reach up to 130cm in diameter, one of the peculiarities that distinguish the brand.
At Nomon, quality is above all, both in the use of noble materials (natural woods such as walnut, polished brass, fiberglass or marble), and in the presentation. Like a piece of jewelry, the clocks are delivered in an elegant case designed to match the brand’s identity. Each clock is designed to be shipped unassembled for a quick and easy travel to the more than 80 countries where Nomon is present.
Their proposals combine the latest technology with the watchmaking tradition. They are manufactured with artisanship methods in their Barcelona workshop and incorporate a patented German system, capable of dragging the giant hands without making the slightest noise.
For all of these reasons, Nomon is today the world’s leading company in interior clocks.
