Andrea Lenardin Madden
Profile
Andrea Lenardin Madden is an Austrian-born architect, designer and creative director. She studied architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna – an environment which inspired her interdisciplinary approach to design and sparked her venture into surrounding fields such as industrial design, fashion and the visual arts.
Immediately after her graduation she moved to New York to work at the studio of Raimund Abraham, 1994-96. A Schindler Fellowship brought Lenardin to Los Angeles in 1996 where she stayed on to continue post-graduate studies as Fulbright scholar at SCI-Arc, receiving her Master’s degree in architecture in 1998.
Over the years, Lenardin has built a practice at the intersection of architecture and art, with an eye to the broader domain of placemaking. In 2003 Lenardin founded a l m project. The work of the studio is comprehensive in scope, touching every aspect of a project - architecture, interiors, and landscaping; brand experience development, identity design, graphics and packaging; display and environmental signage systems, retail store design, and digital interfaces.
Fluent in working across cultures and time zones, with a devoted creative team in place, a l m project delivers imaginative design solutions skillfully guided from concept through implementation.
