MORE ABOUT AAMER ARCHITECTS
Profile
Mr Aamer Taher established his Studio in 1994, two years upon his return to Singapore from London, where he trained in the Architectural Association School of Architecture and practiced with several firms including the prestigious Michael Hopkins and Associates.
In Singapore, he had spent several years (including his year-out when at the NUS) with SAA Partnership where he spearheaded the design of large projects ranging from institutions and condominiums to city master plans in China, like the area office for the Housing Development Board (HDB) and military academy in Singapore and the national aquarium in Pudong, Shanghai.
Having his own practice he focused on (luxury) residential projects in Singapore and later worked on larger scale projects including overseas projects.
Mr Aamer Taher is a former council member of the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and a part-time design tutor in the School of Architecture in the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Aamer had set up offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (AA-GAS) with longtime partner Mr Wu En Loong – they met when studying in London. And in Shenzhen, China both are working together with Ms Chen Fei, in a partnership (WACA Design) aimed at bringing attention-grabbing architecture to China.
AAMER remain a cutting-edge boutique design firm providing a one stop full range of architectural design and professional services including master planning, interior and landscape design with a dedicated team of professionals.

One of Aamer’s Clients described his works as “haute architecture” in the sense that they are like ‘haute couture’ or ‘haute cuisine’, custom- and tailor-made to each discerning individual….. thus all uniquely different from each other.
