About ACO Haustechnik
MORE ABOUT ACO HAUSTECHNIK
Within ACO Group, ACO Haustechnik specializes in drainage and separation system solutions for use in private and commercial buildings. The company is located in Philippsthal (Hessen) and Stadtlengsfeld (Thuringia).
ACO Group, which was founded in 1946 and operates on an international level, ranks among the world's leading providers of drainage products and cellar and steel engineering components. In its core segments of civil engineering, building construction, building technology and agriculture, ACO is represented in 40 countries and operates its own production facilities in 13 of these countries. The company is managed by Hans Julius Ahlmann in the second generation and employs more than 3,800 people.
The history of ACO Haustechnik stretches as far back as 1884, when Samuel Adolph Passavant founded the company. Initially, it only manufactured steel products for the public sewage system. From 1950 onwards, the range was consistently expanded to include drainage and waste water treatment products. When it was acquired by ACO Group in 2000, the company changed its name to ACO Passavant GmbH. Since 2007, it has been operating under the name of ACO Haustechnik to clearly distinguish its profile and market position.
In keeping with its slogan "Drain, separate, pump – Your system partner", ACO Haustechnik has made a name for itself through its system solutions in the fields of drainage, separation and pump technology that are as proven as they are innovative. The system provision competence of ACO Haustechnik is founded on the wide range of applications of its product portfolio: Component parts made of stainless steel, cast iron and plastic, which are suitable for use throughout the entire drainage process in single-family and multi-family homes, in hotels and clinics, and in commercial and industrial buildings. The breadth of its product range makes ACO Haustechnik unique throughout Europe: It comprises floor and cellar drains, backflow systems and fuel oil valves, solutions for balcony and terrace drainage, and grease separators and waste water lifting plants. The lion's share of this product range is manufactured at the production facilities owned by ACO Haustechnik.
Although only recently introduced, the segment of bathroom drainage is already proving to be very successful: With its ACO ShowerDrain product family, ACO Haustechnik has already earned itself an excellent reputation in the field of bathroom technology and design. This success is visibly documented by five international design awards that the company won in just two years: iF design award 2009, red dot design award 2009, universal design award 2010 and universal design consumer favourite 2010 for the curved ACO ShowerDrain shower channel; iF design award 2010 for the ACO ShowerDrain Walk-in solution. As a manufacturer of bathroom systems, ACO Haustechnik does not just offer superbly designed products; the company is also uncompromisingly committed to promoting safety, the preservation of values, and the protection of the environment.
Being based in northern Germany, ACO has a natural affinity to water. Its origins are probably also the reason behind its entrepreneurial far-sightedness. The self-perception as a firmly grounded global player and the creative interplay between family roots and cosmopolitan openness are both superbly coined by the company's claim: "You can rely on a strong family".
